About.
There is no greater fulfillment than discovering one's unique voice and expression of the joys and turmoils of life and the emotions and thoughts that come with them. The human spirit is enriched by the act of creation and communication, it's how we connect with others and make sense of the world around us. When we communicate and express our selves through music, we speak a universal language, no idea is too simple or complex and no feeling is too deep or seemingly trivial. Learning this language undoubtedly expands one's mind and permanently deepens one's outlook and approach to life no matter where the journey takes us.

Since I was old enough to walk I was fascinated by music and it's ability to transport you into another world. While my family would have dinner table conversations at my grandparents house I sat alone at the piano tinkering and discovering the sounds that I could conjure. I was possibly the youngest Beatles fan ever and longed to capture the same kind of magic I heard for myself. As I began to formally learn to play instruments, beginning with piano and moving on to guitar and double bass, I grew to love aspects of every genre and time period of music. From middle school all the way to college and beyond I've participated in rock and country bands, various jazz ensembles, classical orchestras and musical theater productions. I've also written and produced/recorded music during my time living in Nashville, TN. It is now my goal and passion to pass on the knowledge I've gained day after day from childhood to adulthood to a new generation of learners in hopes that the language of music isn't lost in the obscurity of our modern world. Interacting with musicians has taught me that each individual has a unique way of learning and experiencing music. My students will learn the fundamentals and foundations of music but in a manner that caters to their individual strengths allowing them to engage and most importantly have fun!
